This guarantee even before the trial, probably even before he was read his Miranda Rights. I am not sure what sort of law degrees they each have been awarded and what sort of law lessons the President taught when he was supposedly teaching, but I was under the supposition that in a criminal court one was supposed to be innocent until the trial was completed and the Jury had reached a verdict. I thought that in a criminal court justice was supposed to be blind and that this was supposed to be a government of laws and not men. After these two high ranking official's partisan outbursts, the terrorist scheduled to be tried in N.Y. must be released because he cannot get a fair trial. If he is not presumed innocent in a court of law prior to a fair and unbiased trial then no one can ever expect a fair trial in a court of law in this country again. I believe that Justice is at least as important as health care.
